Grosse Pointe Garden Center Detroit Garden Legacy Seminar
February 5 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm$25.00 – $35.00
Saturday, February 5, 2022: the Grosse Pointe Garden Center is privileged to carry on the tradition of the Detroit Garden Center’s revered Winter Seminar Series. The adoption was sanctioned by the Detroit Garden Center and will be known as the Detroit Garden Center Legacy Seminar, continuing to focus on horticultural education. We have a doubleheader with Janet Macunovich and 40-years of professional gardening experience teaching us how to “Simplify to Keep on Growing.” Next up, “Fun Facts About Plants,” Robert Pavlis, author, lecturer, gardener, and “plantaholic” helps us understand plants in general: Does pH really matter? Why don’t you see clematis petals? Why evergreens don’t sucker. Do oaks really make taproots? An Open Q&A opportunity for any of your gardening questions will be held during intermission. Due to the current rise in Covid-19 variants, the seminar will be on Zoom. Click here for seminar information and to register.
Please note there is a change in speakers for the second half of the seminar. Our original speaker, Judy Barton, due to circumstances beyond her control, unfortunately, is unable to give her presentation as scheduled.
