Perennial Plant Assoc. Symposium Detroit: Celebrating the Urban Garden
Join us for education at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum by three renowned speakers-Shannan Gibb Randall (Insite Design Studio) on Great Plants, Beautiful Resilient Gardens, Bill Schneider (Wildtype Native Plants) on Landscape Design with Maintenance in Mind, and Richard Thomas & Meredith Simpson (Oudolf Garden Detroit) on Exploring the Oudolf Plant Palette. Enjoy a tour of the Oudolf Garden Detroit and picnic lunch. After lunch continue with a bus tour to three favorite perennial inspired locations-Callahan Detroit Bird City Park, Detroit Abloom, and Detroit Arboretum-Circle Forest. End the day with a private tour and social at The Stratton House, former home of William and Mary Stratton of Pewabic fame. Buses will return to Oudolf Garden at the conclusion of the perennial packed day.
Symposium
Symposium is a continuing education program for Flower Show Judges. Since it is a credentials requirement, registration is open to them exclusively first. It will be open to public registration on a space available basis, once it is determined that all Michigan judges have registered that wish to register or on July 20 whichever comes first.
