On May 30, 2022, the Veteran’s Park and Blue Star Memorial took place in New Era, Michigan. The New Era Veteran’s Park is the fruits of an Eagle Scout project by two local scouts (one was able to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the Dedication) . A rock had been placed just waiting for a plaque and the Garden Club of Pentwater partnered with the New Era Chamber of Commerce to purchase a Blue Star Memorial. Our dedication included a Memorial Day Parade, speakers and placing of a wreath at the flag. This park is still a work in progress. The Garden Club of Pentwater planted flowers behind the wall in preparation for the Dedication ceremony.
