Landscapers Garden Club and the Petal Pushers Garden Club dedicated the first Blue Star Memorial in Kalamazoo County on June 14, 2010. The marker is located at Veterans Memorial Park, 399 Library Lane, Portage.
The same two clubs dedicated a Gold Star Memorial By-Way on November 18, 2021. The marker is located in front of the Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Museum, 6151 Portage Road, Portage.
