105th Blue Star (2022)
By the Bay Garden Club of Suttons Bay dedicated a Blue Star Memorial By-Way on September 21, 2022. The marker is located at Herman Park, 1060 S. Herman Road, Suttons Bay.
On August 31, 2023, the garden club was awarded The Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association’s (MNLA) Community Landscape Beautification Award at their Blue Star Memorial Garden in Herman Park. The award, one of five given in the state, is part of the Association’s ‘Plant Michigan Green’ initiative. Plant Michigan Green aims to keep Michigan beautiful and environmentally healthy and recognizes projects that are designed to enhance the visual image of the neighborhoods, improve livability, build civic pride and promote community spirit.
