14th Blue Star (2003)
The Little Garden Club of Tecumseh dedicated a Blue Star Memorial By-Way on May 26, 2003, following Tecumseh’s annual Memorial Day Parade. The marker is located at the north entrance of Brookside Cemetery, 501 N. Union Street, Tecumseh.
Special guests for the dedication included National and Michigan Garden Club representatives including Jimmie Meinhardt of St. Louis, Mary Lou Fox of Mount Pleasant and Connie Snell of Grand Rapids.
Brookside Cemetery is a historic cemetery, it was designated as a Michigan Historic Site and added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 13, 1986.
