Yearbook Awards

MGC Yearbook Award

  • 1st place in State for each club size category receives $50.00
  • 2nd place $25.00
  • 3rd place – Certificate of Merit

First and second placements require a score of 85 points or higher.
Two hard copies of your program/yearbook are needed for the entire award process.

FIRST: Send the two hard copies with one MGC Award application to your District Director by October 15th for District judging.

SECOND: Send either a hard copy or a PDF electronic copy to the 2025-2027 MGC President by October 15th.

Club size categories are based on all club members for whom MGC dues are paid, including Life and Honorary Members.

Garden Club Size Categories:

  1. Small Club 1-20 members
  2. Medium Club 21-50 members
  3. Large Club 51+ members

Criteria for Judging:

  • The MGC Club Yearbook Judging Form and Judging Worksheet* (link to be added shortly) outline the criteria used for judging at District and State Levels.
  • Club yearbooks submitted for judging must not differ in any manner from those provided to club members.
  • Yearbooks accepted for judging must coincide with the current year. Repeat submissions from prior years will be returned.
  • Enhancement (example: colorization) of the yearbook submitted is prohibited.
